‘Twas the night before Christmas Friendship Day,
When all through the New Town Bay Rowing Centre
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The table runners were placed on the tables with care,
In hopes that quilty friends soon would soon gather there;
The Southern Rep Tina was nestled all snug in her bed,
While visions of raffle prizes danced in her head;
And President Yvette in her ‘kerchief, and VP Leesa in her wrap,
Had just settled down for a long summer’s nap.
When out on the car park there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our beds to see what was the matter.
Away to the window we flew like a flash,
Tore open the window with a huge crash.
The moon on the breast of kunanyi did glow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to our wondering eyes should appear,
But LQS friends all loaded with gear!
See you in the morning!!!
