Tasmanian Art Quilt Prize
In 2012 the Tasmanian Quilting Guild Inc. negotiated a collaborative program with the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. The Tasmanian Art Quilt Prize is an Australian wide competition and the inaugural exhibition of finalists was held in the Bond Store of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in October 2013. This coincided with the 150 years celebration of TMAG being on the same site.
The Tasmanian Art Quilt Prize was initiated by Barbara Mellor during her period as President of the Guild. The Tasmanian Art Quilt Prize committee operates as a sub committee of the Tasmanian Quilting Guild Inc.
