Island Quilts 2022 Student Entry Information

Who Can Enter?

  • Students in years K-12.
  • Students do not need to be members of the Tasmanian Quilting Guild Inc (TQG).

Entries

  • Students may enter up to two items each.
  • Any flat textile item, e.g. collage picture, quilt, wall hanging, table runner. Fabric should be the main medium with at least three layers joined by stitching.
  • The maximum size allowed is 150cm x 150cm.
  • An item that has been exhibited previously in a TQG Student Textile Competition may not be entered again.

Entry Forms

  • Please fill in an online entry form for each quilt.
  • Please upload a photograph of your quilt with each entry. Your quilt doesn’t need to be completed, but we need a photo to help our Exhibition Designer get an idea of what it will look like. There is more information on photographs on our Photographing Your Quilt page. 
  • Please provide your full name, however only your first name and surname initial will be printed on any public document.
  • The design source for all quilts must be acknowledged. If someone else, for example a teacher, parent, or relation, has helped to make the quilt, that person must be acknowledged and the nature of the help given identified.
  • Please check the TQG copyright policy, which is available HERE.
  • The online entry form will be active from 18 June 2022. Entries close on 14 August 2022.
  • You will be advised by email that your entry has been received, then before depots open to receive quilts you will receive another email with your category number.
